The purpose of the Academy of Dermatology Veterinary Technicians is to promote excellence through specialization in the discipline of veterinary dermatology by demonstrating an advanced proficiency of dermatologic procedures, working with the veterinary team and client to advocate superior patient care, and providing cutting-edge continuing education.
The Academy of Dermatology Veterinary Technicians is currently working on a non-for-profit organization status and is dedicated to enabling the accredited veterinary technician the opportunity to advance their knowledge and skills to achieve their goal as a Credentialed Specialist in the field of Veterinary Dermatology.
We hope to petition to NAVTA in April of 2012 for our specialty and our organizing committee members are currently working hard to meet all the requirements.
